Our story

A community service, built on trust

We opened our doors in 2005 with a simple belief: every child deserves a calm, safe place to spend time with the people who matter to them.

Two decades on, we have supported thousands of families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives — always with kindness, always with the child at the heart.

Our mission

Safe, welcoming, professionally managed Family Time

We provide neutral spaces and trained professionals so children can build and maintain meaningful relationships with parents and family members they no longer live with.

Our service is impartial, child-centred and held to the highest safeguarding standards.

Take a Tour of Our Centre

Our Legacy

In Loving Memory of Sylvia McCollin

Friend, Colleague and Co-Founder of Project West

“Those who touch the lives of others never truly leave us.”

Project West proudly honours the memory of Sylvia McCollin, Co-Founder of Project West. In 2005, Sylvia co-founded Project West alongside Pauline, helping establish the trusted, child-centred service that continues to support families across the community.

Sylvia believed passionately in supporting children and families with dignity, kindness and professionalism. Her commitment, wisdom and generosity of spirit helped shape the values that continue to guide Project West today.

Although Sylvia is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the work we continue to do every day. Her influence remains woven into the heart of Project West, and she will always be remembered with love, gratitude and the deepest respect.

“Forever remembered. Forever part of our story.”
